El rice Offers in-person cello, guitar, and songwriting lessons in Denver, CO to students ages 8 to adult.

Virtual lessons are available for intermediate players and above, and for string players interested in learning improvisation/popular music.

El is passionate about helping students learn to play music that inspires them. With an extensive background in improvisation, songwriting, arranging, and music from around the world, they are excited to share these experiences with students in settings including group songwriting and performance workshops, private cello and guitar lessons, and beyond. 

As an educator, El has worked in a variety of settings with students of all ages. They have been teaching private cello and beginner guitar lessons since 2021, and have also offered group classes and workshops in topics including songwriting and recital preparation / managing performance anxiety. During their time at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (M.m. 2019), El was the co-founder and leader of a Northeastern Brazilian music ensemble for students and community members.
